Life cycles

We have been learning about the lifecycle of living things. We have learnt that living things share in the same cycle of growth, change, reproduction and death. In class we were able to observe the beginning of the lifecycle of a chicken. We watched the chicks hatch out of their eggs and observed how they have grown over time. Each week we have been recording the height, width and mass of the chicks and documenting changes to their appearance. Learning about lifecycles has helped us gain a better understanding of how things grow and change over time and what they need to survive.

Harmony Day

On the 21st of March, we celebrated Harmony Day. Harmony Day is time for all Australians  to remember and respect our diverse cultural backgrounds and to share what we have in common.
To celebrate the day we participated in a lovely chapel service followed by some class activities that looked at inclusiveness, respect and belonging.

Congratulations 3M!

3M were very excited to win the best assembly class at our assembly last week. We are looking forward to having Primary Pup stay with us and join in our activities.

Great work 3M! You are all amazing!

3D Shapes

3D shapes are a lot of fun especially when you get to make them. We made some 3D shapes out of sticks and blu -tack. This helped us identify their faces, edges and verticies and understand their dimensions.
