Tinker Time

During Tinker Time, students have been learning about kites. We have learnt that kites are much more than just a fun toy to play with. In the past, they have been used to measure distance, test wind and were even used to invent the first aeroplane!

We made our own kites using plastic bags and paper and explored what forces helped keep it in the air.  After this, we looked at what we could change to improve our kites. We experimented with different string lengths and tails.
