What's the Time?
In science, we have been studying the relationship between the Sun, Earth and Moon. This week we looked at how the Sun can be used to tell the time. We made a sundial using a piece of paper and a pencil for the gnomon. We placed our sundial in the Sun and observed the changes throughout the day. We learnt that sundials cast a shadow and the length and position of the shadow can show what time it is.
